Located in Monmouth County, NJ, St. Peter’s Church has been serving the community for over 300 years. To continue addressing community needs, the church invested close to $2 million into “Building Crossroads.” The construction would provide for a larger parish hall, with 50% more seating, where they serve meals to those in need and hold meetings. The hall also provides rental income. The facility includes meeting spaces and an upgraded kitchen to create meals for the homeless as well as to cater parish and private events.

SESI is proud to be part of this effort, providing the geotechnical investigation and report for the design of a new parish hall behind the existing rectory building. As part of this project, the existing parish hall was demolished, and the rectory driveway was lengthened and widened to provide parking and a drive aisle. The construction consisted of a new building with a footprint of approximately 4,140± square feet that includes new classrooms and a Parish Hall as well as a basement.

SESI also prepared site plan engineering services for this project. SESI designed and submitted plans and reports required for Freehold Borough’s site plan approval. Furthermore, SESI prepared a presentation and provided testimony regarding our site engineering services.
