Harbors At Haverstraw is the first of three riverfront communities being developed by the Ginsburg Development Companies, LLC. Harbors at Haverstraw is an upscale community located on the Hudson River waterfront. Many of the homes have direct water views of the Hudson and all residents have access to a promenade along the water’s edge. The promenade and the Hudson River Sculpture Trail provides access to the Hudson and a wide variety of recreation opportunities including a marina, kayak launching, offshore moorings, fishing pier and a coffee house with a view of the river. In addition, The Harbors Club recreation center is available to all residents. The Hudson River Sculpture Trail is set along the 1.5 mile public promenade and will feature permanent and temporary sculptures.

SESI provided geotechnical engineering services for Harbors at Haverstraw. The project scope of services included a geotechnical investigation, retaining wall designs, foundation recommendations, dynamic compaction, surcharge, underslab drainage system, global stability analysis, pavement design, and construction inspection. A dynamic compaction and surcharge program was used to allow for construction of the development on shallow foundations at a significant cost savings, as compared to pile foundations.
